In employing individuals to perform any construction, maintenance, interpretation, or other service in the park, the Secretary (Selecting Official) shall, in so far as practical, give first preference to qualified members of the Tribe:
(Timbisha Shoshone Homeland Act, Nov 2000). To receive current preference eligibility, members of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe must submit a copy (not the original) of the letter certifying their tribal membership. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your unofficial transcripts must be provided with your application. This position requires that you meet BOTH the Basic Educational Requirement AND the Additional Qualifications Requirement BASIC EDUCATION FOR; Landscape Architect GS-0807:
Option A:
You have successfully completed a bachelor's or higher degree in landscape architecture or landscape design. This education must be from an accredited college or university. Note:
You must submit your transcripts. Or, Option B:
You have a combination of education and experience - for each year short of graduation, I have 1 year of experience under professional leadership and guidance of such character and diversity as to be a satisfactory substitute for the required education. This experience must have included original landscape design. Note:
You must submit copies of your transcripts. AND The ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Requirement Have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing professional architectural principles, methods, and techniques. This specialized experience includes:
(1) preparing a variety of comprehensive planning projects related to landscape architecture (i.e. general management plans, development concept plans, etc.); (2) maintaining oversight for the appropriate treatments necessary to preserve cultural landscapes, including tasks and projects associated with research, planning and stewardship; (3) preparing scopes of work that define the objectives and requirements of the project for Architecture/Engineering design or documentation services; and (4) using project management software, such as the Project Management Information System (PMIS), to record data and actions. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
