Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operating)

As a Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operating) at Death Valley National Park, you will:
Operate and perform minor operator maintenance on light duty vehicles (i.e., approximate gross vehicle weight of up to 10,000 pounds). Transport personnel, supplies, materials, or equipment and tools throughout the park. Assist Journey trade workers by preparing work sites with needed tools, material, equipment, etc. at the beginning of the day and clean and secure tools, material and equipment from work site at the end of the day. Maintain general cleanliness of grounds (i.e., landscaping, weed, mow, rake, sweep, empty trash cans, etc.) and campgrounds Maintain general cleanliness of buildings (i.e., office and outdoor bathroom facilities) In employing individuals to perform any construction, maintenance, interpretation, or other service in the park, the Secretary (Selecting Official) shall, in so far as practical, give first preference to qualified members of the Tribe:
(Timbisha Shoshone Homeland Act, Nov 2000). To receive current preference eligibility, members of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe must submit a copy (not the original) of the letter certifying their tribal membership. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
