Concessions Management Specialist

In employing individuals to perform any construction, maintenance, interpretation, or other service in the Park, the Secretary (Selecting Official) shall, in so far as practical, give first preference to qualified members of the Tribe:
(Timbisha Shoshone Homeland Act, Nov 2000). To receive current preference eligibility, members of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe must submit a copy (not the original) of the letter certifying their tribal membership. As a Concessions Management Specialist, you will:
Assist the Commercial Services Program Manager in managing park Concessions contracts, Commercial Use Authorizations and Special Park Use permits; Collect, compile, and maintain data and prepare reports related to park Concessions contracts, Commercial Use Authorizations and Special Park Use permits; Distribute information to internal and external stakeholders and serve as a liaison between commercial service providers and National Park Service divisions/park staff; and Assist with the development, review, and updating of contract(s), operating and maintenance plans. May assist in developing competitive and professional prospectuses for solicitation of offers, ensuring that National Park Service requirements are successfully fulfilled. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
performing evaluations of concessions or commercial service providers such as food service, overnight lodging, transportation services, guided activities or retail sales, to ensure compliance with contracts/commercial use authorizations or quality control of services or goods provided; collecting, tracking, compiling, and maintaining data related to commercial services or special park uses; performing analysis of commercial services or special park uses for feasibility and comparability studies; preparing routine reports related to commercial services or special park uses; making recommendations to park senior staff in relation to commercial services or special park uses. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION:
Successful completion of at least a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. that is directly related to the work of this position. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take six months of the specialized experience (50% of the experience requirements), and 27 semester or 41 quarter hours of directly-related graduate level college study in an accredited institution (50% of the qualifying education). Then take the number of months of full time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
